Guidelines:

Except as otherwise indicated by rules regarding Limited Common Elements and articles of the Governing Rules, a homeowner may not make any changes to the exterior of a building. The exterior includes the outside surfaces of walls, windows, roofs, doors, foundations, chimneys, stoops, railings, fences, and patio areas. Changes refer to any deletion, alteration, or addition that was not part of the original unit constructed by the builder which involves the use of brick, wood, concrete block, mortar, stone, glass, metal, or other building materials.

Any deletion, change, addition, improvement, or renovation made that is not in compliance with the provisions of the Articles or the rules of the Architectural Committee will be in violation, and the homeowner will be liable for the adjustments.

Homeowners desiring to make any exterior changes, other than those specified in rules regarding Limited Common Elements, must make a proposal in writing to the Board. This rule applies, but is not limited, to the following types of changes or additions: fence, shed, awning, light fixture, chimney, paint color, vent, gas tank, exterior door, windows, deck, patio structure, solar panels, antennas, satellite dish, storm door and storm windows.

Procedure
1. Submit an Architectural Request Form, along with requested drawings, dimensions, and samples to Wilson Property Management at least 50 days before work is to begin. WPM will submit the information to the Architectural Committee.
2. Working with involved parties, the Architectural Committee will seek to approve or disapprove of the request within 30 days of the of the receipt of the request.
3. If the Committee turns down a request or approves it with conditions unacceptable to the homeowner, an appeal may be submitted in writing to the Board of Directors.
